DATA DELETION
Disconnecting and deleting your data
Last updated September 18, 2026
Two steps. Disconnecting a source in your workspace hides everything imported from it immediately and revokes our access. Emailing us then removes that content permanently. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days and confirmed in writing.
Step 1: disconnect the source (immediate)
- Sign in to your EngineDeck workspace and open Connections.
- Choose Disconnect Gmail. Imported messages, relationships, projects and findings from that account disappear from the workspace immediately.
- Our access to your Google account is revoked and the stored token is deleted by the next scheduled job, usually within minutes. You can also remove EngineDeck at myaccount.google.com/connections; we detect that on the next sync and hide the content the same way.
Step 2: request permanent deletion
Email privacy@enginedeck.ai from the workspace owner's address with the subject "Data deletion request" and the company name. We verify that the request comes from the company owner, run the deletion, and reply with a confirmation that lists what was removed, as counts.
Permanent deletion removes the imported source records, the text stored from them, every finding and note derived from them, and their citation links. It cannot be undone.
What is retained
- Account and membership details needed to keep the workspace working, until you also ask us to close the company workspace.
- Audit, usage and billing ledgers, which record events, counts and costs but never message text. These are kept for security, accounting and legal obligations.
- Documents and files you created separately in the workspace, unless you ask for those to be deleted too.
- Encrypted backups, which expire on a rolling schedule after the deletion is complete.
Closing the whole workspace
To close a company workspace entirely, say so in the same email. We will first offer a readable export of your company's findings and notes, then delete the workspace, its members and its remaining content, and confirm when done.
